You are not the first person, neither will you be the last, that is faced with difficult times, but you don’t have to go through it alone. “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.” Psalms 139:2 NIV
Nowadays there are many attempts against humanity’s well-being, the majority of such attempts start in each person’s mind, their thoughts, and when not confronted those thoughts can cause serious hurt not only to a person but to those that surround them.
Many of us struggle daily with thoughts that go against our faith and the values instilled in us, values that have been getting lost with times we live in because we haven’t been able to stop those thoughts that everyone has been a victim of. We have a enemy that doesn’t rest day or night, and is looking to make anyone fall, if we aren’t under God’s protection we are easy prey.
The difficulties every human being faces cause an imbalance in every aspect. If it’s a financial problem it also affects our relationships with those close to us: your spouse, parents, children; depending what is your family situation. Finances are a very extensive subject, which is why we’ll only talk about the administration of our finances.
This is the way the enemy starts to put evil thoughts in the minds of people. The mind is very powerful and if we don’t take care of it, we can fall in a deep depression.
I had the experience of dealing with someone who wanted to take her own life because she couldn’t keep control of her finances and I don’t blame her, her problem was big and she was only able to see the needs of her children that weren’t being met. She thought that dying and leaving her kids insured was the only way her kids would survive. Nowadays that persons serves God and has been doing so for a few years, despite being a single mother she has been able to provide for her family and has seen one of her kids graduate successfully from University, she also serves the Lord with joy. Praise God for that! Let this serve as motivation to those who say it can’t be done, with effort and bravery you can get really far.
Some might say “it easy to sit down and write about the Bible and tell people to seek God because his word says he is good when in reality you don’t know how I fell because what I’m going through can’t compare”. No one will be able to understand your pain the way your Maker can, not your spouse, you parents, your kids. Only God knows because He feel your hurt, he is our father and wants to give us the best. I can testify to that, my affliction have been many but God has taken care of them all. I have held on to him, he is my rock and salvation, my shield, my strength, my strong tower, He is my everything.
He sought me out for a long time, he waited patiently for me to surrender, serve him and love him with my whole heart recognizing He is God. This was my petition for some time: “I want to fall in love with Jesus” and he worked in me. He has guided my way to where I am. I love him because He is God and He has blessed me greatly for loving him without asking for anything in return. I don’t know what my future holds but with all certainty I know that what it’s to come it’s much better than what I have received so far. I’m so humbled by this that I’m lost for words and I’ll limit myself to invite you to meditate in his word, our creator never changes, He is the same He was and always will be: Jehovah, the great I Am, my God.
Psalms 139 (This are just a few verses, one I challenge you to look it up and read the entire psalm, I know you’ll rejoice in it just like I do every time that I read it)
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.”

If you can’t find a way out no matter how much you try, just hold out your hand, call out to Him and accept his protection, don’t wait any longer.
