When nothing around you seems to make sense…
You strive and try your best to achieve your goals, however the results are not what you hoped for, and you feel like giving up. Even though you try to avoid the tears, they are the ones that make you understand “things aren’t right”.
More than once you have asked yourself, why aren’t things going right? You’ve tried different ways to get a good result and still nothing changes. When you feel the walls closing in on you and what’s in front of you is a narrow bridge you don’t dare to cross, stop and think: if you made it this far it’s not because you wanted to, your circumstances have brought you here. Consider what’s in front of you and with a good attitude a face what’s to come.
When things are out of your hands, you must acknowledge that is not a coincidence you’ve made it to a point where you need help. We can’t face challenges by ourselves, but if we trust someone who can do it all, we’ll be able to see the wonderful results of what we set our minds to do, because it won’t be up to us but up to God. In this way things will start to change, you’ll think clearly and you’ll be victorious because with you in the one who conquers all, you’ll recognize the fulfillment of his word, because you’ll live it, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NIV
Walking with God we are more than conquerors and even the road might seem narrow, walking through the bridge that leads to him opens up wider roads that make it possible for us to share the wonderful experience of walking with Jesus. Dare to cross it and ask God to help you fall in love with Christ and you’ll see how everything changes when you give him your heart. Love is the greatest feeling there is and there is nothing like it.
Being in love is thinking constantly about that special someone and seeking ways to please with our attitude, our decisions and anything else that might make the relationship stronger. Being in love is even doing things that don’t make sense to get the attention of the one you love. You look for ways to strengthen the ties that join you that in the future will calm the storm; when everything is said and done, love always remains.
For many it might not make sense following God, they think themselves good people who never harm anyone and they don’t find it necessary to change the way they live. But we find in the Bible a story in which Jesus finds himself in conversation with a woman who tells him about all the men she has been with, he replies telling her there will come a time when true worshipers worship him in spirit and truth, because those are the ones the Father is looking for.
God is spirit, and those who worship him need to do so in spirit and truth (John 4:7-42)
God doesn’t need us to worship him, but we need to worship him to receive his spiritual blessings, just like that woman did after meeting Jesus, not only was she filled with joy but she went and spread that joy, telling others about Jesus and what he had done for her, everyone who heard believed in Jesus because of what she said and when they heard his voice, they believed that he was Christ, the savior of the world.
I love this woman’s attitude, she represents every one of us before accepting Jesus Christ, a worthy example to follow. By His mercy I was rescued from the way I was living my life and now I share with others how wonderful it is to be loved by him. This makes it clear for us we have to love him not only with words but with our mind, our soul, our spirit, our heart and our understanding. Our whole being must be connected effectively so that we can change our lives and behave in a way that doesn’t bring us shame, but restores, edifies, and reaches many who are seeing God’s transforming power in us and are drawn and blessed by him.
Dare to cross! God is waiting.
