Call out to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3 NIV)

Call out to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3 NIV)

Isn’t it great to know that there is someone who will answer you when you need him?

We will always face situations where we have to make decisions, or maybe go through circumstances that cause you worry or worst yet there will be times when either your life or the life of those you love will be in danger.

To be able to face what I’ve just mentioned we must know that it’s up to you and me if we’ll go through it alone or call out for help. There are a lot of people who want to call out but can’t, they need God’s guidance but are unable to take the first step.

There are many who take the first step and move forward but for every five steps forward they take three back.

There are those who say: I have one foot in and one foot out and even though I want to I can’t fully commit to God and this is normal because after living a life of apathy towards God, the start isn’t always easy but it isn’t impossible.

Therefore the most important decision that every human being has to make is to serve God, accept  Jesus into your heart and recognize him as your savior.

At the same time  there are many who believe in God but think they don’t have to accept Jesus Christ.

His word tells us in John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (NIV)

God also makes reference to his son “And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17 NIV)

God rejoices when we accept his son whom he loves so much and who was sent to this world to saves us from an assured death due to our sins. Before God we are all sinners, Jesus frees us from sin and justifies us, meaning he cleans us from every sin and makes us part of his family, Christ’s family! This does not mean we are perfect, while we are in this world we never will be, but we are called to strive to please  God and be better every day.

Believing in God is not enough! We have to live a life that pleases God, and do things the way his words tell us to. Better said, believing in God is a way of life, is choosing God’s will before your own, no matter what everyone says or thinks. What’s important is what God thinks and says of you.

Once you decide to please him, not only will you grow closer to him but you will have an assurance that he will be with you no matter your need or what you are going through, if you call out to him, he will answer.

Is it possible for God to talk to us? Of course it is! He has different ways to do so, for example

He’ll put thoughts in your mind and will give you confirmation in your heart when someone else tells you the same things you thought, without having talked to anyone about it.

He’ll speak to you through dreams or visions and you’ll know they come from a God because they will come to pass. Many times it takes a while before we receive an answer, but that is only because everything has a time and God’s will is perfect.

This is the time God is talking to you and he is letting you know that the only thing you have to do is  call out to him and he will answer, don’t hesitate any longer and dare to take that first step that will make you live according to God’s will, God loves you so much that he allowed the sacrifice of his only son to save you, and remember: believing in a God is not enough!

Remember…
“Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
